Within the last several years, the music you hear on the radio while driving in your car has definitely evolved.
Sure, we have certain artists that are complete garbage (in my opinion & not naming names), but we also have Beyoncé, J.Cole, Kanye West, Drake, etc. There's no doubt Kendrick Lamar is one of the few hip hop artists holding down the game, but if his music came out ten years ago, I don't believe he'd be receiving the same recognition now. Music wise, society has changed its' views on artists like Kendrick: embracing it instead of brushing their work aside.
It's a shame how many talented artists didn't become recognized as musical legends until they passed away.
